If Ezekiel Were Alive Today
(a guest post by Mr. Cohen)
I have never eaten animal carrion nor meat from a wounded animal
from my youth until now, nor has loathsome meat ever come into my mouth.
Thank you!

Ezekiel was one of the greatest prophets in Jewish History,
and the proof is that an entire book of the Jewish Bible
was named after him – a claim very few people can make.
The Biblical Book of Ezekiel reveals details about Ezekiel’s religious teachings:
Ezekiel taught the importance of eating only-kosher in Ezekiel, chapter 4, verse 14:
[4:14] But I said: Alas G_d! Behold my soul has not been defiled; I have never eaten animal carrion nor meat from a wounded animal
from my youth until now, nor has loathsome meat ever come into my mouth.
Ancient Rabbis (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Chullin, page 37B)
taught that this verse means that the Prophet Ezekiel never ate meat
from animals whose permissibility was questionable, in addition
to not eating meat from animals that were obviously forbidden.
Ezekiel taught the importance of observing Shabbat in these Bible verses:
Ezekiel, chapter 20, verse 12, teaches that Shabbat is a sign between GYD and the Jews.
Ezekiel, chapter 20, verse 13, reveals GYD complaining that Jews desecrated Shabbat.
Ezekiel, chapter 20, verse 20, GYD tells Jews to sanctify Shabbat
so it will be a sign between GYD and the Jews.
Ezekiel, chapter 22, verse 8: GYD again complains that Jews desecrated Shabbat.
Ezekiel, chapter 22, verse 26: GYD complains that religious leaders ignored Shabbat.
In our times, we have a special name for Jews who
refuse to eat non-kosher foods, like Ezekiel taught;
and also loyally observe Shabbat, like Ezekiel taught;
they are called: Orthodox Jews.
The overwhelming majority of non-Orthodox Jews abandoned
eating only-kosherfoods and more than 60 years ago.
99.9% of Jews alive today who observe Shabbat correctly
and loyally are Orthodox, even though Orthodox Jews are
less than one-fifth (1/5th) of the world’s Jewish population.
Therefore, if Ezekiel were alive today, he would probably
be categorized as an Orthodox Jew.
