Sha'ar Binyamin is the sprawling shopping center about 7 minutes north of Jerusalem between Adam and the turn-off to Tel Zion-Psagot and Kochav Ya'akov. It's in Mateh Binyamin, the Benjamin County, of which Shiloh, Ofra, Neve Tzuf, Kochav Hashachar, Eli, Kfar Adumim and lots of other communities are located.
From its beginning, the two main attractions have been the Rami Levi Discount Supermarket, a police station and the big sick fund clinic of Kupat Cholim Le'umit. In addition there a lots more stores, Yafiz-Clothing for the Whole Family (yes, where I work,) furniture, pharmacy, Shifon Bakery, dress boutique, camping equipment, housewares, health food, books, shoes, dental clinic, events/wedding hall and more.
In many ways Sha'ar Binyamin reminds me of a 1950's suburban/rural strip mall that wasn't fully planned but keeps on getting bigger.
