BAD NEWS: In Israel Terrorism Pays!

I had been planning on writing about the importance for Israel to pass the law requiring (or permitting) the death penalty for Arab terrorists. I caught a horrendous "discussion" on Israeli television in which the so-called moderator and the anti-death penalty speaker wouldn't give I think it was Moshe Feiglin who represented the pro-death penalty side a chance to get half-way through a sentence.

The two females (moderator and panelist) insisted that since Israel is an "enlightened" country/society, there is no place for the death penalty. I wanted to hear Feiglin raise his voice and tell them that they may be "enlightened" but they are awfully rude by not letting him speak.

And so this morning I was horrified to discover that one of the immoral and certainly not enlightened Arab terrorists who had been "hunger-striking" had been released from prison alive!

I wonder what type of hunger-strike he was practicing, since he looks much too strong and healthy to me.

What's in a Name?

If Feiglin had been allowed to speak, he would have explained his concept of צדק tzeddek meaning "absolute principles." I know that isn't the standard translation of the word, but I think that it explains it very clearly. In Israel the death penalty has been used once, and that was to execute Adolf Eichmann the Nazi leader. That was acceptable according to Feiglin's opponents.  They accept that Nazis are/were sufficiently evil to be executed.

Feiglin tried to tell them to take Naziism out of the discussion, but they never allowed him to complete his sentence/thought.

My own feeling, and it may be similar to Feiglin's, is that the Arab terrorist philosophy has a major principle in common with Nazism. That is the destruction of the Jewish People. And if that is the reason why they consider consider it moral to execute Nazis, then, why not execute Arab terrorists?

The truth is that Israel is not an "enlightened" country. That is because it does not protect its citizens from terrorism. It, by releasing Arab terrorists like Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan, it endangers its innocent citizens!!
